Karolin - Centre for Polish Folklore

This free workshop series inspired by folk art invites you to pause and reconnect with your own creativity. Participants will use the motifs and forms found in traditional Polish folk art and crafts as a starting point for intuitive artistic exploration and hands-on creative practice.

The Centre for Polish Folklore in Karolin warmly invites children and guardians to take part in its workshop series: Summer at Karolin – Folk Costume Adventure. Workshops will be held every Wednesday in July and August at 12:00 PM. We will explore traditional Polish costumes and Mazowsze Ensemble’s stage outfits, try on selected costumes and enjoy folk-inspired creative activities.

Come along to Karolin this Children's Day for family fun and games in the beautiful Karolin Park. We'll be discovering how children used to have fun in years gone by - there'll be singing, dancing and plenty of outdoor adventures for the whole family.

It’s that time of the year again! This year's Night of the Museums will be focused on folk instruments and Polish traditional music, and how it inspires the artisitic work of Mazowsze Ensemble . There’ll be plenty going on between 6pm and 10pm, so make sure you join us and stay to the very end!

Celebrate International Dance Day in the best way possible—with a dance workshop at the home of the legendary Mazowsze Ensemble. Guided by skilled instructors, you’ll explore the steps and figures of selected Polish dances in a welcoming atmosphere. No previous dance experience is required to join in!

Mira Zimińska-Sygietyńska is an icon of the Polish stage and one of the most well-known Polish actresses of the twentieth century. In 1948, she played a key role in the establishment of Mazowsze Ensemble, which she led from 1955 until her death in 1997.
