Join us for a summer of dance at the Centre for Polish Folklore, whatever your age or level of experience. We hope to see you at our dance classes, family workshops and talks, which run from late June until the end of August.

Join us in Karolin Park on the weekend of 8 and 9 June for one of our biggest events of the year - the Mazowsze Family Picnic. With plenty of attractions for the whole family, this promises to be a fabulous weekend full of dance, song, music and traditional arts and crafts.

This year, we’ll be celebrating Children’s Day in Poland with an action-packed family workshop about the folk culture of Polish highlanders from the Podhale region. We’ll uncover the secrets of highlander dress, music and dances, and will make our own glass painting inspired by local tradition.

Join us on 25 May to experience a taste of the rich folk culture of the Podhale region. Our guests from Bukowina Tatrzańska in the Polish highlands will lead a workshop focused on regional crafts, followed by a social dance to traditional highlander music.

It’s that time of the year again! During this year’s Night of the Museums we’ll be uncovering the secrets of Mazowsze Ensemble’s renowned costumes. There’ll be plenty going on between 6pm and 10pm on 18 May, so make sure you join us and stay to the very end!

To celebrate International Dance Day 2024, we'll be holding a special workshop focusing on traditional dances from Silesia. Our experienced instructors guarantee that a great time will be had by all, whatever your level of dancing experience!

Join us on 6 April to experience a taste of the rich folk culture of Upper Silesia. Our guests from the Upper Silesian Ethnographic Park in Chorzów and the Fedaków band will introduce us to the traditional dress, craft, music and dance of this fascinating and diverse region.

Colourful, decorative eggs, tall palms, wicker baskets and a wet Easter Monday… join our special Palm Sunday tour of the permanent exhibition at the Centre for Polish Folklore to find out more about Polish Easter customs and traditions.

It’s hard to imagine a Polish Easter without the traditional wicker basket, which is taken to church for its contents to be blessed on Easter Saturday. During this year’s Easter market, you’ll have the chance to make your own, unique basket at a special basket-weaving workshop, under the eye of an expert craftsman.
