The costumes of Mazowsze Ensemble captivate with their vibrant colours, exquisite detail and rich variety of fabrics. From the very beginning, the Ensemble’s stage costumes were inspired by the traditional festive dress of the Polish countryside. Join us for a special guided tour to discover the story behind Mazowsze’s earliest costumes and the people who created them.

The Opoczno region is renowned for its distinctive striped woven fabrics, intricate embroidery, and rich folk traditions, many of which are still very much alive today. During this special workshop, we’ll have the opportunity to work with experienced folk artist Bożena Dulnikiewicz and create our own unique embroidered piece, inspired by the region’s craft tradition.

Join us at the Centre for Polish Folklore on 3 October 2026 to experience the rituals, songs and dances of a traditional wedding with guests from the Krzczonów region. There'll be music, regional costumes, a wedding feast and plenty of opportunities to learn local dances and songs.

To commemorate 130 years since the birth of Tadeusz Sygietyński - composer, conductor and co-founder of Mazowsze Ensemble, - join us for a special singing workshop featuring a number of the Ensemble's most iconic pieces. The workshop will be followed by an exhibition tour, during which we'll be discussing Sygietynski's life, work, and extraordinary musical and cultural legacy.

Join us in Karolin on 13 September to celebrate 5 years of Polish song, dance costume and tradition at the Centre for Polish Folklore!

This free workshop series inspired by folk art invites you to pause and reconnect with your own creativity. Participants will use the motifs and forms found in traditional Polish folk art and crafts as a starting point for intuitive artistic exploration and hands-on creative practice.

The Centre for Polish Folklore in Karolin warmly invites children and guardians to take part in its workshop series: Summer at Karolin – Folk Costume Adventure. Workshops will be held every Wednesday in July and August at 12:00 PM. We will explore traditional Polish costumes and Mazowsze Ensemble’s stage outfits, try on selected costumes and enjoy folk-inspired creative activities.

Come along to Karolin this Children's Day for family fun and games in the beautiful Karolin Park. We'll be discovering how children used to have fun in years gone by - there'll be singing, dancing and plenty of outdoor adventures for the whole family.

It’s that time of the year again! This year's Night of the Museums will be focused on folk instruments and Polish traditional music, and how it inspires the artisitic work of Mazowsze Ensemble . There’ll be plenty going on between 6pm and 10pm, so make sure you join us and stay to the very end!
