It’s hard to imagine a Polish Easter without the traditional wicker basket, which is taken to church for its contents to be blessed on Easter Saturday. During this year’s Easter market, you’ll have the chance to make your own, unique basket at a special basket-weaving workshop, under the eye of an expert craftsman.

Silesian Ribbon Workshop (International Women's Day in Karolin)

Ribbons are a key part of nearly every folk costume in Silesia. The largest are used to decorate bonnets and garlands and can be printed or handpainted, most commonly with floral motifs. Join us for a craft workshop to celebrate International Women's Day, during which we'll be painting our own decorative Silesian-style ribbons which are guarenteed to add some colour and style to your outfits!

Hop śü śü – Workshop for Families

This year, we'll be celebrating the end of carnival with a fun-filled family workshop inspired by the folklore of Wilamowice, a town in southern Poland with a unique and fascinating history. We'll talk about the traditions and culture of local residents, make colourful carnival masks and wear them for a fabulous masked dance. We look forward to seeing you on 11 February!
