Poland is well-known for its colourful and unique regional folk costumes. Worn in the past on special occasions and important events, they are a key feature of Polish heritage and a living tradition passed from generation to generation. Mazowsze Ensemble's world-famous stage costumes are inspired by this traditional dress and the Ensemble has thousands of hand-crafted, breathtaking pieces in its collections.

This summer's workshops offer families a remarkable opportunity to enter the fascinating world of Polish folk costumes - to learn about outfits from different regions, and to try on the waistcoats, garlands, hats and dresses which delight audiences during Mazowsze Ensemble concerts. Participants will have the chance to try out some dance steps, capture their new look with photos and create their own folk-inspired project.
