15:00 | Embroidery from the Sącz Region - Craft Worskhop
Traditional occasionwear in the Lachy Sądeckie region was richly decorated with colourful embroidery. This workshop will give you an insight into the techniques used by local craftspeople, as well as an opportunity to create your own embriodered object. The workshop will be led by Ms.Elżbietą Drabik, who will be travelling from Sącz to share her specialist knowledge of this unique craft.
The worskhop will last approximately 2 hours and is most appropriate for adults and young people over 12 years of age.
18:00 | Social Dance with the Podegrodzie Regional Folk Group
This award winning folk group has been cultivating traditional song and dance from the Sącz area since 1937, and its members inspired the creation of Mazowsze Ensemble's repertoire from this region. The group is based in Podegrodzie, a village well-known for its rich local customs and traditions. During the evening, we'll be invited to join in with dances typical for this area, such as waltzes, polkas and krakowiaks, accompanied by the Podegrodzie Regional Folk Group's band.
We look forward to seeing you on the dance floor!
Duration: 3 hours
During the evening, we'll have the opportunity to sample some local specialities and witness the creation of decorative crepe paper flowers, demonstrated by Teresa Cabała from Podegrodzie. There will be a chance to make your own too!
