Winter Holidays in Karolin
Keep boredom at bay this winter break - join us for a series of family workshops at the historic home of Mazowsze Ensemble. Our performers will be running special dance workshops on Tuesdays, while Thursdays will be all about arts and crafts. We look forward to welcoming you to Karolin!

Meet Mazowsze this winter
The legendary Mazowsze Ensemble has given tens of thousands of concerts and performed for millions of people worldwide over the past seventy five years. This winter holiday, we're inviting you to find out more about the Ensemble and what life is like for its performers. On Tuesdays, members of Mazowsze's ballet group will talk about their experiences on and off stage as well as teaching dance classes based on the Ensemble's repertoire. On Thursdays, we'll be immersing ourself in the fascinating history of the group and its journeys around the world.

16 January at 12pm / Dance and be merry!
How can you become a member of Mazowsze Ensemble? What does a day in the life of a performer look like? This workshop is hosted by a member of Mazowsze Ensemble's ballet group, and will last approximately one hour.
18 January at 12pm / Posters, pictures and performances
Who were Mazowsze Ensemble's founders? How did everything begin? Visit the permanent exhibition at the Centre for Polish folklore to discover how Mazowsze Ensemble grew and developed. We'll be looking at posters and photographs from the archives to inspire our own artwork based on the Ensemble's history.
23 January at 12pm / The life of a dancer
What does a dancing career entail? How can you prepare for the stage, and what do you do offstage? This meeting and workshop is hosted by a member of Mazowsze Ensemble's ballet group, and will last approximately one hour.
25 January at 12pm / Winter travels
There is barely a corner of the globe that Mazowsze has not performed in over the past 75 years. During this workshop we'll talk about some of the destinations the Ensemble has visited, and the gifts and souvenirs brought back to Karolin. We'll also discover some of Karolin's treasures and secrets, sending a postcard home to document our travels.
